Kari Conte
Kari Conte has been the Director of Programs and Exhibitions at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York since 2010. At ISCP, she leads residencies, exhibitions, and public programs in which she collaborates with more than a hundred artists each year. Recent exhibitions include solo presentations by Jennifer Tee, Eva Kot’átková and Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens, and group exhibitions ‘Concrete Truth: Art and the Documentary’, ‘The Animal Mirror’ and ‘Aqueous Earth’. She has also curated exhibitions for the Aichi Triennale and Performa Biennial, among others. As a writer, she is interested in the intersection of art and politics as well as institutional and exhibition histories. She published ‘Seven Work Ballets’, the first monograph on artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles (Sternberg Press, 2016), and has contributed to numerous other books and journals. Upcoming publications include ‘Localizing the Contemporary’ (JRP|Ringier, Switzerland) and ‘Socially Engaged Art: A New Wave of Art for Social Change’ (Film Art Inc., Japan). Before joining ISCP, she was based in London, where she worked at Whitechapel Gallery and received an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art.
Natalie Bell
Natalie Bell is an Associate Curator at the New Museum, New York, where she has curated and co-curated solo exhibitions by Jonathas de Andrade, Anna Boghiguian, Elaine Cameron-Weir, Mariana Castillo-Deball, Aslı Çavuşoğlu, Dan Herschlein, Marguerite Humeau, Kahlil Joseph, Hiwa K, Albert Oehlen, Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa, Barbara Rossi, Anri Sala, Andra Ursuta, and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye. She has also co-curated several major group exhibitions at the New Museum, including ‘Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon’, ‘The Keeper’ and ‘Here and Elsewhere’. Prior to her work at the New Museum, Bell was assistant curator for ‘The Encyclopedic Palace’, the International Exhibition of the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.
John Riepenhoff
Riepenhoff is a curator and co-owner of The Green Gallery, Milwaukee, WI, co-organizer of Milwaukee International and Dark Fairs, an inventor of artistic platforms for the expression of others and regular food ideator. His recent exhibitions and curatorial projects have been presented in New York, London and all around the States. He also continues a program of the John Riepenhoff Experience at various locations around the world, most recently at Night Gallery, Los Angeles, CA and Misako and Rosen, Tokyo. He was the 2015 Milwaukee Arts Board Artist of the Year, co-chairs Friends of Blue Dress Park, founded Milwaukee’s Beer Endowment for artist-run organizations, runs The Oven at The Open in Milwaukee, sits on the board of Riverwest Radio, and is Board Chair of the Poor Farm.
Karin Laansoo
Karin Laansoo is director of both the Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center (ECADC) and Outset Estonia. Since receiving her MA in Art History from the Estonian Academy of Arts, she has worked as a producer and gallery manager in Tallinn and New York. From 2008 to 2013 she was director of PointB, an international artist residency in Brooklyn, New York. She has curated numerous exhibitions and projects in both the United States and Europe as well as published the award-winning book 22+ Young Estonian Artists (2005). In 2013 the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs honored Karin for her work in introducing Estonian contemporary culture in New York. She was also co-recipient of the Estonian National Endowment annual main prize in visual art for 2017.
Miguel Amado
Miguel Amado is a curator, researcher and critic. He is the Director of Cork Printmakers, Ireland. His other curatorial posts include Senior Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, England; Tate St Ives, England; Abrons Arts Center, New York; and the Portuguese Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale. He has also been a Curatorial Fellow and Curator in Residence at Rhizome at the New Museum, New York; Independent Curators International, New York; and the International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York. Exhibitions, projects and events curated as a freelancer include Art Projects at London Art Fair; Foro Arte Caceres, Spain; apexart, New York; Berardo Collection Museum, Lisbon; Frieze Projects at Frieze London; ARCO Madrid/Lisbon. Amado holds an MA in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art, London.
