February 2013 Newsletter
The Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center (ECADC) has some great projects coming up this month. First, young gallerists are heading out on their international internships this spring while visiting curators are heading to Estonia in return. If you are in Tallinn, check out our next edition of Tallinn Tuesdays in the coming week, and if you miss Estonia, Marge Monko’s newly commissioned edition will be a perfect substitute.

INTERNATIONAL GALLERY INTERNSHIPS
Mihkel Ilus, Kendall Koppe and Margot Samel
International Gallery internships will kick off in April when Tallinn-based artist and young gallerist Mihkel Ilus joins the team of Kendall Koppe Gallery in Glasgow. He’ll be learning the ropes from Margot Samel and Kendall Koppe until June 2013. The internship will conclude at Liste The Young Art Fair in Basel where the Glasgow gallery will participate for a second time.
VISITING CURATORS
Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk and Luigi Fassi
ECADC and Center for Contemporary Arts Estonia have partnered up in hosting two visiting curators who are heading to Tallinn for studio visits in the coming months. First up in February is Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk, recipient of the inaugural Demergon Curatorial Award for 2012. As an invited curator for the Tallinn Month of Photography, Rotterdam-based Niekolaas will also give a talk as part of the Tallinn Tuesdays program. Next, Luigi Fassi, a seasoned curator who was last year appointed as Visual Arts Curator of the Steirischer Herbst Festival in Graz, Austria, will then continue with his planned studio visits in March.
